Ryan Crane of Exeter, the chair of the Maine Farm Bureau Young Farmers Committee, has been named the Maine Potato Board’s 2016 Young Farm of the Year. An Exeter native, graduate of Dexter Regional High School and Purdue University, the fourth-generation potato farmer currently is production manager at Crane Brothers Farms, a 3,000-acre operation with locations in the Androscoggin Valley in western Maine, the Lincoln area and Exeter.
